Since 1990, the Centre for European Studies at the Universidad de Navarra has organised the Conference “European Culture”. Nine editions have been organized there.
The tenth edition will take place in Barcelona between 22nd and 24th of October and will be organized by the “Charlemagne Institute for European Studies” at the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya (UIC), whose director, Enrique Banús, was the president of the Organizing Committee in Navarra. Now, in agreement with the Universidad de Navarra, it was decided to hold the next one in Barcelona, to give it continuity. This edition will maintain the style and characteristics of the previous events that confer the congress its specificity – those who have already attended know this.
The International University of Catalonia (UIC) is a young private university (it was established ten years ago). The “Charlemagne Institute for European Studies” was created in 2000 in order to establish in the University an area dedicated to teaching, studies, research and dialogue about Europe.
The Conference "European Culture" has received a grant of the European Commission, Jean Monnet Prgramme of the Directorate-General for Education and Culture.
