Workshop on cybercrime, computer crime prevention and surveillance society

Within the framework of the Fifth International Conference on Legal, Security and Privacy Issues in IT Law (LSPI), the Fourth International Law and Trade Conference (ILTC) and the First International Private Law Conference (IPLC), a closing workshop will be held to review and address the main challenges on cybercrime issues.

Both the Conference welcome and registration (day 2 in the afternoon), as well as the closing workshop (day 5) will be held at the International University of Catalonia (UIC). Other conference sessions will be hosted by the Open University of Catalonia (UOC), in the Media-TIC building (22@Barcelona).

The Annual IAITL Lawyers conference presents a unique opportunity for professionals, academics, lawyers and consultants to meet, exchange ideas, and discuss the new challenges faced by all those involved in the legal issues of Information Technologies (IT) and new technological contexts.

This year’s conference will include a markedly international Workshop featuring world-renown experts in the fields of cybercrime, computer crime prevention, and surveillance society. Simultaneous interpretation services will be used to facilitate communication between the workshop’s participants and audience-members.

All articles presented at the Conference will later be published, upon acceptance, in the official conference proceedings, as well as in some of the most prestigious journals in the relevant fields. Papers presented in Spanish will be included in an official proceedings book, complete with ISBN. Additionally, any paper that directly addresses the themes of the Workshop round-tables may be used in a monograph specially printed for the event.
