Degree in Medicine

Presentation

The academic curriculum for the UIC’s Medicine Degree is focused on training students based on active educational methodologies with a strong emphasis on information technologies and communication. These teaching methodologies aim to train future doctors in what are known as transversal skills, including interpersonal communication skills, analysis and synthesis, the ability to work as part of a team, self learning, selective acquisition of information, developing a critical sense, etc.

Studying Medicine at the UIC brings students into contact with patients from an early stage, giving them the opportunity to gain first hand experience of the health system.

Later on students join one of the teaching units, which are accredited health centres, where they combine practical participation with guided study in the different subject areas.
