Officially-recognised Master’s level qualification, classes in English, individual attention
After 5 years you will obtain a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture which will allow you to work anywhere in Europe. The classes in English over the two first years, as well as the opportunity to undertake a group workshop in English in third, fourth and fifth year, will all open up more future opportunities for you.
Regular monitoring by professors from the first day onwards until the end of the Final Degree Project (TFG) is ensured based on a student-professor ratio of 15, difficult to find in other schools of architecture.
As well as having a student population of more than 20 nationalities, we have one of the broadest international academic programmes on the market. Apart from Erasmus programmes you can also choose from more than 20 international mobility agreements; you could study at the University of California, Berkeley, or gain work experience in Dubai, etc.
We have a national and international job bank which allows students to apply for work in any city in the world, and a graduate employment rate of 85%.
Cross-disciplinary teaching and our Vertical Workshop
Our cross-disciplinary teaching, which involves design at all different scales, from landscape to construction details, differentiates us from other schools. This is because we train architects to know how to work all the way from an urban scale to a micro-scale.
At the beginning of each academic year you can join this intensive workshop creating projects related to Barcelona, called the Vertical Workshop. It involves teams of students from second through to fifth year who will help you to understand the evolution of your learning in an exceptional way. You will all work together over a week based on an up-to-date theme and will build your own projects.
State-of-the-art workshop, open 24 hours a day
The School is open to students 24 hours a day so they can work on their projects. You will have everything available to you so you will not have to cross the city carrying your architectural models every day. As well as the Analogue Model Workshop, students also have cutting-edge digital manufacturing technology available to them in our Digital Architecture Laboratory: this includes a laser cutting machine, a CNC milling machine and 3D printers.
Architecture placed at the service of society
The School of Architecture is the only school of architecture in Spain that requires students to take compulsory subjects on cooperation, sustainability and accessibility. We are architects who are committed to our environment and our time.
We innovate through our four company-sponsored chairs and the research projects they undertake sponsored by both national and international companies such as Ascer, Reig Capital, Uralita, Saloni Cerámica, Hispalyt, Fundación Adecco, and Valentine…
