The Governing Board is the Universitat Internacional de Catalunya's supreme governing body and it exercises its authority either directly or through its Executive Commission. The Board is responsible for supervising the following: the appointment and suspension of the rector, the vice-rectors, the secretary general, the management staff, the dean of faculties, the directors of the different schools, research institutes and study centres and the members of the Governing Committee, and the spending of the ordinary and extraordinary annual budgets.
