Proposals and necessary means for the implementation of governmental equality policies
With this research project my intention was to study the current situation in the labour market, from a gender perspective, and suggest consistent policies to combat inequality. In the process I aim to analyse all the information possible and the relevant data to know what means will be necessary to achieve the implementation of these policies. Finally, if I see it is important, I would also like to dedicate part of the project to studying the impact these inequalities have on people’s health and whether the policies put forward could include prevention methods to avoid it.
Can the efficiency of healthcare systems be improved by reorganising investment in cancer treatment?
This final degree project involves research into how the price of cancer treatment is fixed and how to find a new way to invest so it can be more sustainable for the public healthcare system. The necessary costs will be considered for the development of effective medicine, as well as negotiations with the pertinent institutions. The end objective is to find a methodology and funding distribution that allows the authorities to treat the maximum number of patients possible as well as lengthen their life expectancy and quality of life.

The pharmaceutical industry is one of the most important business sectors in the national economy, at a social and economic level.
There are currently negative beliefs about this type of industry, which question its ethical capacity when selecting new lines of research. During this project I decided to undertake a study of decision-making methods in this industry and their impact on the health of the population.
On the one hand, I undertook a study of different diseases and their social and economic impact. Subsequently, I analysed the methods used by pharmaceutical companies when pricing medication, focusing on those that are necessary for the diseases I mentioned before. The idea is to analyse the connection between the price of medication and its results in terms of health based on the data collected previously.
