The Faculty of Dentistry wins an award at the SEPA JOVEN Meeting

The SEPA JOVEN Meeting for young dentists, organised by the Spanish Society for Periodontics and Osseointegration, took place on 11 and 12 November at Barcelona's Pompeu Fabra University. One of the event organisers was Lucía Barallat, a lecturer from the Periodontics Department in UIC Barcelona’s Faculty of Dentistry. The dentistry student Anna González, assisted by Blanca Paniagua, won the “Young SEPA Award for best degree course poster”. Similarly, Diana Palao was also recognised as a finalist in the best clinical poster category, assisted by lecturers Antonio Santos, Beatriz de Tapia, Marta Galofré and José Nart.

Dr Andrés Pascual and Dr Vanessa Ruiz, also lectures in the Faculty of Dentistry, were on hand to deliver their respective lectures: the first entitled “Factores anatómicos y quirúrgicos para planificar la regeneración ósea" [Anatomical and surgical factors in the planning of bone regeneration] and the second a presentation entitled "Indicación y factores modificadores de la regeneración periodontal" [Symptoms and qualifying factors in periodontal regeneration].
