Latest COVID-19 update: de-escalation in universities
The measures affecting the university sphere were published in the Catalan Government’s Official Gazette (DOGC), and state that students will be able to resume classes on campus once again from the fourth phase (from 4 to 17 January).
Given the current context and in line with the established measures, we would like to inform you that all theory classes at UIC Barcelona will continue to be taught online throughout the month of December.  Likewise, at the beginning of January, we will provide you with more information about your return to the classroom, if so permitted by the authorities, in line with the de-escalation plan and its phases.
As also recently agreed, all other activities (practical, assessments and research activities) may be carried out on-site provided that they respect the hygiene and safety regulations outlined by the healthcare authorities and imposed at the university.
Our university remains open, but will prioritise health and safety at all times. At UIC Barcelona, all members of the university community are joining forces to ensure everyone’s well-being, applying the necessary measures at all times.
