The UNIV Forum is a multidisciplinary forum involving permanent dialogue and a meeting point for communication and university debate which takes place every year at universities around the world and revolves around one common topic.
The Forum’s topic changes each year and is always related to an issue that can be analysed in an interdisciplinary manner. The issues discussed in past editions include: “Rethink the future” (2018); “A world in movement” (2017); “The family footprint” (2016); "Friendship: a new model of citizenship" (2015); "Cosmos: the ecology of people and their environment" (2014); "Reality Check: human identity in a digital world" (2013); "Pulchrum: the power of beauty" (2012); "Experiencing freedom decisively" (2011); "Can Christianity inspire a global culture?" (2010).
The Forum is organised by the Institute for University Cooperation (ICU), a non-governmental organisation with its headquarters in Rome. As a result, the final stage of the forum –during which the best papers from all participating universities will be presented– takes place in this city. It was held for the first in 1968, and this year will celebrate its forty-sixth edition.
UNIV Forum ambassador
Want to be a student ambassador? In this edition, in addition to participating, you can also become an ambassador. An ambassador is a student who, in addition to presenting a project in the UNIV Forum, also helps promote and organise the congress. We are looking for student ambassadors who are full of questions and eager to encourage their classmates to get involved in the new edition of the Forum. They will be required to provide information about the congress by all means possible: among their classmates, friends, teachers... We would like to have one ambassador per year (from each degree programme), all of who must be ready and willing to set up a real university congress. Aside from earning one credit for presenting their project, ambassadors will also receive leadership training.
