First annual call for Grants for Social Action Projects
UIC Barcelona, as a generator and transmitter of knowledge, promotes the values that are inherent to the institution: people, the search for truth, excellence and social commitment.
As regards the latter, the University, through its educational, institutional and research activities, works to promote sustainable development and eradicate poverty, reduce inequalities between peoples and protect the environment.
As a result of its commitment to these values, to serving society, and in efforts to support the university community's acts of solidarity, UIC Barcelona is organising the first Call for Grants for Social Action Projects, which targets development cooperation activities and is funded in part (0.7%) by the University's research and knowledge transfer agreements. This call is aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals adopted by the UN General Assembly (2030 Agenda).
Eligible submissions include projects, educational activities and cooperation and social action initiatives that address developing countries or underprivileged collectives and involve members of the UIC Barcelona university community: students, lecturers, teaching and research staff (PDI), administration and service staff (PAS) and alumni.
