The main aim of the Clinical Residency in Periodontics is to train dental professionals and stomatologists to develop a broader theoretical and practical understanding that allows them to improve their diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases in the field of general dentistry.
The course comprises a theoretical section with classes in the basic science and clinical aspects of periodontics, the presentation of clinical cases in periodontics and joint clinical cases with other specialities. The practical component includes treatment of periodontal patients, as well as surgical treatment to control periodontal disease in those cases where such treatment is required.
