A predominantly practical course that also allows interaction with other dental specialities.
This course is designed to prepare dental professionals and stomatologists who wish to broaden their theoretical knowledge and practical/clinical experience in the field of periodontics.
The teaching part of this residency comprises:
- Theoretical sessions.
- Practical sessions (laboratory and practical seminars).
- Clinical sessions.
Students are expected to actively participate in the various activities under the supervision of a tutor in order to acquire the necessary criteria in this field.
The main aim of the Clinical Residency in Periodontics is to train dental professionals and stomatologists to develop a broader theoretical and practical understanding that allows them to improve their diagnosis and treatment of periodontal diseases in the field of general dentistry. The course comprises a theoretical section with classes in the basic science and clinical aspects of periodontics, the presentation of clinical cases in periodontics and joint clinical cases with other specialities. The practical component includes treatment of periodontal patients, as well as surgical treatment to control periodontal disease in those cases where such treatment is required.

- Medicine (with a specialisation in Stomatology)
50 ECTS. Clinical Internships in in Periodontics.
