Modern dentistry tends more towards preventing rather than treating the diseases that can potentially arise in the oral cavity. One of the important challenges within the field of prevention is the diagnosis, treatment and maintenance of the tissue that surrounds teeth and dental implants.
It is therefore important for the dental practitioner to be well trained in diagnosing and treating periodontal and peri-implant diseases in order to be able to keep patients' periodontal and peri-implant tissue healthy for the duration of their lives.
The aim of this course is to update professionals in the diagnosis and treatment of periodontal and peri-implant diseases, as well as acquiring the knowledge needed to rehabilitate the patient through using osseointegrated implants. It includes knowledge of the latest technical and scientific advances in Periodontics and Implants which are having a decisive influence on the way treatments are administered in clinical practice.
