Students must be capable of taking an impression of implants.
Implant Prosthetics is nowadays a very common part of a dentist’s daily work. This means that all professionals should have at least some knowledge of implant prosthetics and be able to rehabilitate simple cases. Knowledge of implant prosthetics is important so that professionals can explain the different types of treatment available to patients.
Couse Objectives
To provide the necessary knowledge to formulate the diagnosis, treatment plan and foundations for a step-by-step development of the different stages involved in performing implant prosthetics.
To learn about and be able to use the different requisite components as well as how to make impressions to produce a prosthesis to be added on top of implants.

Dentists and stomatologists who wish to acquire a basic knowledge of implant prosthetics and who want an introduction to the subject at both a theoretical and practical level.
To hold a bachelor’s/undergraduate degree in dentistry or medicine (having specialised in stomatology).
This course offers a simple and practical approach to Oral Medicine with the aim of providing students with the abilities to identify, diagnose and manage the most frequent abnormalities that may appear in the oral cavity.
Competences the student will acquire
Differentiation of normal from pathological.
Detecting pathologies.
Differentiating between trivial and more serious conditions.
Categorising the pathology within its clinical framework.
The ability to carry out simple biopsies in the oral cavity.
Interpreting diagnostic imaging test results.
Treating susceptible patients and correctly evaluating which patients need to be referred.
Have an action protocol for patients with oral pathology.

Course objectives
Students should acquire the necessary knowledge to care for children, both preventatively and in terms of treatment.
The students study the essential subject of behaviour management with child patients at theoretical and practical levels.
An optional practical week is also included in which practical work is undertaken in the laboratory and with patients of the University Dental Hospital (CUO).
Competences to be acquired by students
The Online Diploma in Paediatric Dentistry course shares the latest knowledge, techniques and protocols, bringing students up to date on developments in this specialist field.
Students will obtain up-to-date evidence-based knowledge on how to best manage child dental patients.
Students will be able to draw up a proper preventative and treatment plan for a child patient.
Students will acquire the necessary knowledge to manage the behaviour of both compliant and non-compliant children.
