Introduction

In the event that the health authorities announce a new period of confinement due to the evolution of the health crisis caused by COVID-19, the teaching staff will promptly communicate how this may effect the teaching methodologies and activities as well as the assessment.

This subject consists of the clinical care activity typical of a Pediatric Dentist. The student will become familiar with the pediatric dental history. You will know the dental materials and the clinical sequence to follow for the different preventive, restorative and pulp treatments that are more common in daily clinical practice.

Pre-course requirements

Pass the preclinical practices carried out in the laboratory.

Objectives

The student has to be able to keep his continuous training updated. Know how to adapt your clinical practice and your clinical team to the advances and modifications that occur throughout your professional life, which can be autonomous and self-directed.

Learning outcomes of the subject

The student communicates with patients and their families in order to explain, with scientific criteria but with accessible language, the diagnosis, the treatment plan and its prognosis, in relation to the scientific evidence. This “pediatric dentist / patient / family” relationship allows the latter to establish the ideal treatment plan with the most reliable prognosis possible.
