Introduction

This subject encompasses the essential issues, mainly from a commercial and corporate law point of view, legal advice to startups and technology companies.

The objective of this course is to delve into these essential issues, with the purpose that students acquire certain pillars of knowledge and the necessary tools for their practical application.

The subject matter is as follows:

  1. Creation of the start-up.
  2. Talent attraction and retention plans.
  3. Corporate Venturing.
  4. Investment Processes.
  5. The start-up sales process.
  6. Internationalization processes.
  7. Intellectual property.
  8. Fintech.
  9. Blockchain.
  10. Venture Capital.
  11. Crowdfunding.

Teaching and learning activities

In person



The sessions will be taught using different teaching methodologies, mainly based on the Case Method and the presentation of content, with a very practical approach oriented towards legal advice and based on the experience of the professionals who teach the sessions, actively encouraging discussion, open to attendees.

Evaluation systems and criteria

In person



  1. The final mark will be obtained, in 70%, by the attendance and participation and interventions of the student in class.
  2. The remaining 30% will be obtained through a final exam based on some of the 3 questions that will be raised during each session.
