Introduction
Internships are an essential part of the University Master's Degree in Arts and Cultural Management, since they provide the students with the opportunity of entering into contact with a specific cultural field, the possibility to be involved in the implementation and development of a project and in the working dynamics of a cultural institution or company.
Moreover, the internships enable the students to apply the knowledge and abilities acquired during the lectures and, in this way, they complement and enrich the students´ training in arts and cultural management.

Since the internship is a practical subject, it has no specific content; the students should apply all the knowledge acquired during the lectures to the professional field.
Information to be taken into account:
The internship can be carried out either during the academic year (in the mornings) or until December following the end of the academic year
The internship consists of various stages:
- Tutorship session with the UIC tutor; the tutor will get familiar with the profile and expectations of the students and advise them on writing their CV.
- The UIC tutor searches companies and institutions and informs the students about the available internships. Moreover, there are other ways to obtain an internship, which will be established by the UIC tutor together with the student.
- Application for internships.
- Personal interview with the company/institution selecting the candidates.
- Carrying out the internship. As a general rule, the internship will have an approximate duration of 300 hours. The company/institution will appoint a tutor who will supervise the students' work.
- The students write the internship report.
Throughout the course, the UIC tutor will be available for orientation sessions with the students who request them.

The internship will be evaluated based on the report of the tutor assigned by the company or institution (70% of grade) and the report submitted by the student (30% of grade).
The evaluation will take into consideration, on the one hand, the quality of the tasks performed during the internship and the student´s involvement in the project and, on the other hand, the internship report, which should include a reasoned explanation and a critical evaluation of the duties performed during the internship.
