Introduction
The term ‘culture’ represents a wide variety of meanings. It is a reality rich in nuances, and therefore, understanding what we mean when we talk about culture implies a study from many perspectives. The course addresses some introductory questions, to understand this reality in greater depth. It takes as its nucleus an anthropological conception, and addresses what are the origins of the term ‘culture’, what disciplines have studied it, and what are its characteristic elements. In this way, the student is introduced to one of the fundamental concepts of the field of Humanities.
