Professional experience

PhD student, UIC - Bioengineering Institute of Technology Sant Cugat del Vallès - February 2020 - April 2023
Designing bioactive scaffolds for bone regeneration based on silica materials. Synthesis and incorporation of microspheres to deliver some factors and mimic bone structure.
Collaboration grant UB, School of Medicine - Experimental Animal Unit Barcelona — February 2019 - April 2019
Maintenance of ambiental, instrumental and animal conditions and organization of the virtual platform to register and track mice.
MSc Thesis, UB - Biophysics and Bioengineering Unit Barcelona — January 2018 - June 2018 I assessed the potential cross-talk between Canonical TGF-β1 pathway and extracellular matrix stiffness of lung fibroblasts from non-small cell lung cancer at the Cellular Microenvironment Research in Lung Cancer and Lung Fibrosis group.
BSc Project, VHIO - Cell plasticity and Cancer Group Barcelona — February 2017 - June 2017 I detected, located and analyzed the function of a newly found micro peptide encoded by a lncRNA, related with pluripotency and glioblastoma.
One-month training internships IiSGM - Bioartificial organs and matrices laboratory Madrid – July 2016
I learned how to perform flow cytometry, histologic staining and some cell culture procedures. I used Nucleofector and flow cytometer machines to work in the context of heart and cartilage regenerative medicine.
IRB Lleida - Experimental Nephrology Group Lleida – July 2015 I learned the genotyping process by PCR and the ELISA technique to identify proteins in serum. I used the thermal cycler and the spectrophotometer. In the group they studied the relationship between Vitamin D and renal pathology.
CIPF - Neurobiology laboratory Valencia – July 2014 I learned how to detect proteins by Western Blot and Immunohistochemistry and how to use the vibratome and the Confocal microscope. In the laboratory they studied rat models of Hepatic Encephalopathy and Hyperammonaemia.
