Introduction

Students will attend in person the sessions rehabilitation periods and active presence and shape (in the preparation of subjects) at its ortho-perio. In addition, during the first quarter will be trained in planning patient Aesthetics.

10 units will be taught masterfully as part of the Basic Course Implant Prosthesis, which our area is being doing in continuing education. Later, thematic reviews will be conducted by students (IMOS1, MORE1 and MIO2). There will be two reviews a day of 45 minutes each, in which then discussed the contents for 15 minutes.

Finally, there will be a clinical session, which will discuss practically all those imparted in theoretical sessions

- To learn basic concepts of implant prosthodontics

- To know how to review the literature concerning a given topicl, synthesize the information and present it publicly in English

ITEM 1. INTRODUCTION TO IMPLANT PROSTHESIS .

Terminology implant prosthesis .
Differential features between implant and natural tooth.
Characteristics of the implants, various shapes and surfaces .
Biomechanics, the different types of forces and their effect on the implant.
The various stages in the development treatment.
Different types of prostheses to be made.


ITEM 2 . DIAGNOSIS AND PATIENT SELECTION

Anamnesi and patient examination .
Utilities study models .
Investigations most used and why.
Know what are the indications and contraindications absolute and relative .



ITEM 3. WAXING , RADIATION AND SURGICAL GUIDE

Importance of diagnostic wax and applications.
Termimos conceptualize radiological and surgical guide guide .
Importance of radiological guide tractamiento planning .
Radiodiagnostic tests and their indications.



ITEM 4. SELECTION OF PILLARS

Factors that determine the type of pillar utilitzar .
Pilar machining , casting on and casting machining , characteristics and directions.

ITEM 5 . MAKING IMPRESSIONS
Differences between natural teeth and implants and their importance in making prints.

ITEM 6 . TEMPORARY PROSTHESIS

Importance of the provisional prosthesis.

ITEM 7 . UNIT PROTESIS

Knowing the different characteristics between upstream and downstream unit prostheses .
Different elements necessary for making unit implant prostheses .
Risk factors for obtaining a better result at the leading edge .
Know the importance of the distribution of forces in the posterior as well as the relationship implant crown .


ITEM 8 . PARTIAL PROSTHESIS

Materials utilitzados in its preparation.
Know what are the different stages in the preparation of an anterior and posterior partial denture .
Knowing the type of occlusion in partial dentures .


ITEM 9 . COMPLETE FIXED PROSTHESIS

Knowing the different types of prosthesis to perform depending on the materials and prostheses to be made. Concept of Hybrid and Full Arch Prosthesis
Identify the different hardware and materials used in the preparation of complete dentures fixed .
Knowing what kind of occlusion should give implant-supported fixed prostheses .
