To learn to start a protocol for in vitro research, clinical or experimentral approved by the relevant committees according to the characteristics of each protocol.
Define the main concepts of research in health sciences.
Describe the different phases of the research process.
Distinguish between models of quantitative and qualitative research, identifying the main advantages and limitations of both models.
Structuring an appropriate strategy for literature search in major databases related to health sciences.
Access to documentary sources identified in the literature search, downloading the full documents for evaluation.
Critically evaluate scientific literature found.
Describe the basic concepts related to measurement variables and obtaining quantitative data.
Describe the different methods of obtaining quantitative data and identify them in published studies.
Identify the different types of scientific papers, structure and characteristics and rules of publishing them.
Write a scientific summary for the preliminary presentation of results at conferences and congresses, as well as to develop an oral and / or poster
Ongoing continuation of the research project.
It is expected that all the students submit to the annual national endodontic association (AEDE) meeting or biannual European Endodontic congress (ESE) their preliminary research findings for presentation in the form of oral or poster communication as considered adequate by the program director.
Results and the final draft of this research project must be presented in the June 15th (Exact data is determined every year according to calendar). The quality of the final research should be good enough for submission for publication in respected dental journals, such as the IEJ, JOE or national journals. Thus a paper corresponding to the final draft data must be submitted to the considered more appropriate paper of the JCR list.
Periodically, meetings with the tutor and director of the study will be arranged to discuss about the study performance for continuous evaluation of the study and the student progress in the study, ensuring he/she acquires all the skills to accomplish the necessary competencies and learning outcomes.
