Introduction

his subject is part of the subject of Specific Methods of Intervention in Cardio-respiratory Physiotherapy I is a follow-up of the subject of Manual Therapy I studied in the second year of the degree. This course aims to provide the students with theoretical and practical knowledge of the different manual therapy maneuvers applied to the musculoskeletal system, mainly pelvis and vertebral column.

- Augmentar l'habilitat i destressa manual per al desenvolupament de la Teràpia Manual

- Millorar l'execusió i eficàcia de les diferents maniobres del tronc i la pelvis

- Aplicar les tècniques específiques de Teràpia Manual a nivell del tronc i la pelvis

  • 48.2 - Ability to assess the patient's/client's needs in order to give priority to the ones that could compromise the rehabilitation process.

  • 50 - Ability to execute, direct and coordinate a physiotherapy treatment plan while attending to the client's individual needs and using therapeutic tools specific to the physiotherapy profession.
  • 50.1 - Ability to establish and implement physical therapy in treatments provided by all other medical and surgical specialties whenever it is deemed necessary.

Teaching and learning activities

questa assignatura, principalment és de caràcter presencial. Les classes es realitzaràn en les aules de la Universitat Internacional de Catalunya realitzant-se en seminaris teòric-pràctics. La metodologia utilitzada serà la lliçó magistral, l'aprenetatge cooperatiu i la resolució d'exercicis y problemes proposats a classe.

De forma semipresencial, l'alumne haurà de realitzar activitats d'autoaprenentatge utilitzant la sala d'autoaprenentatge i valoració de la Universitat. La metodología utilitzada serà el contracte d'aprenentatge amb la finaitat de desenvolupar l'aprenetatge autònom de l'alumne.

Evaluation systems and criteria

In person

This subject will be assessed by conducting a final exam, which is worth 80% of the final grade; the remaining 20% will come from active participation in class. Both blocks must be passed separately in order to pass the course.

The practical training activities will be evaluated by testing the execution of the tasks. Such tests are included within the system of the assessment of the student and are carried out in the theoretical and practical seminars.

Independent study activities will be evaluated at final exam.
