The photography workshop was created with a view to increasing the participants’ technical knowledge -framing, composition, colour temperature, etc.- and teaching them how to capture the beauty, proportion and harmony of a face, nature or a something occurring spontaneously in an urban landscape.
It is a highly practical course, which combines technical and theoretical sessions to give participants a basic understanding of the world of photography. This activity is coordinated by the Catalan Institute for Photographic Studies (IEFC), which was founded in 1972 and recognised as an Entity of Honour by the Catalan Federation of Photography.
During the workshop, participants will gain experience with lighting both in and outside the studio. It will also include outings to Montjuïc and the Gothic Quarter, where attendees will have a chance to put what they learn in class into practice.
The workshop is divided into 10 sessions and will take place on the Barcelona Campus. Places are limited.
In 2001, Dídac completed his studies at the Catalan Institute for Photographic Studies, where he specialised in historical techniques. Since then, he has combined artistic projects (Association of Architects of Barcelona, Tarragona, Sonimag, Foto Madrid, Arts Santa Mònica, Tardor de l’Art, Arco and several Barcelona-based galleries) with teaching at the University of Barcelona.
He began collaborating with the IEFC’s photographic archives in 2010. Currently, in addition to teaching and technical work, he is also artistic curator for the photographic gallery Il Mondo, of which he is also partner and co-founder.
