Chairside Scanning, Design and Manufacture Course for Dental Clinic Assistants, Hygienists and Administrative Staff
Today, the intraoral scanning, design and manufacturing of dental prostheses in dental clinics is a valid option for a significant number of treatments we perform. It is not only dentists that play an important role in this workflow/chairside flow. Clinical staff also make a valuable contribution.
The course is aimed at all dental clinic staff including assistants, hygienists and administrative staff, who will learn all aspects of the digital workflow performed at a dental clinic, including intraoral scanning, designing the prosthesis and how it is manufactured. All steps will be explained in a theoretical manner and will be carried out by students with a hands-on approach.
Competences to be acquired by students
Students will learn how to scan intraorally (using phantoms) with two different types of scanners, how to design an inlay, a crown, a bridge on teeth and implants and a bite splint using two different digital systems, and how to send the design files for production, both to a milling machine and to a 3D printer.
The course is intended for dental clinic staff: Hygienists, dental assistants and administrative staff.

Prerequisites & admissions
The course is aimed at Graduates / Graduates in Dentistry or Stomatologists.
