Chairside Scanning, Design and Manufacture Course for Dental Clinic Assistants, Hygienists Staff
Today, the intraoral scanning, design and fabrication of dental prostheses in dental clinics is a valid option for a significant number of treatments we perform. But it is not only dentists that play an important role in this workflow and chairside workflow. Clinical staff can also play a valuable role in providing appropriate explanations of the possibilities of using digital workflows.
The course is aimed at dental clinic staff, assistants and hygienists, with the objective of discovering the possibilities that exist today regarding the digital flow in a dental clinic: intraoral scanning, designing some types of prostheses and their fabrication. All steps will be explained in a theoretical manner and will be carried out by students with a hands-on approach.
Competences to be acquired by students
Participants will learn how to use intraoral scanners (with phantoms models), how to use different design programs to learn how to design an inlay and a crown, and how to send the files for the fabrication of prostheses to both a milling machine and a 3D printer.
