Prerequisites & admissions

In Catalonia, the process of pre-registration and placement in the University Master's Degree in Teacher Training is centralised through the Catalan Government’s Portal d'accés a la universitat. All persons interested in taking this licensure master’s degree for teachers must complete the process, and it is the Catalan Government who assigns the place according to the bachelor’s or undergraduate degree cut-off mark. The specialisation to be studied will be determined by the university studies already completed by the candidate.

UIC Barcelona will only intervene at the time of registration for those assigned a place by the Catalan Government. Once the candidate receives the notification of their assigned place from the Catalan Government, registration for the 22-23 academic year must take place within one or two days. After this period, the place will be lost and the government will reallocate vacant places to other candidates.  The date of registration will depend on the date on which the Catalan Government assigns the place to the candidate (between September and October).
