What?

A semester-long C1-exam preparation course consisting of 45 on-site hours and 30 hours of online work (5,5 ECTS) that will help you consolidate your knowledge of Catalan grammar, express yourself with a rich and varied repertoire of structures when speaking and writing and produce suitable and well-structured texts on complex social, academic and professional topics. This course includes a final C1-level (CEFR) CLUC exam, which could earn you a certificate recognised by the Government of Catalonia.

A semester-long blended-learning course (45 on-site hours + 55 online hours)

Barcelona Campus, 10 October to 30 January, Tuesday, 5-8 p.m.

Sant Cugat Campus, 5 October to 8 February, Thursday, 5-8 p.m.

  • Semester 2

Barcelona Campus, 13 February to 4 June (no class on 30 April), Tuesday, 5-8 p.m.

Sant Cugat Campus, 15 February to 6 June (no class on 2 May), Thursday, 5-8 p.m.

Price

  • UIC Barcelona PDI and PAS: €150
  • UIC Barcelona students: €250
  • Non-university members: €300

The price of the course includes the fee for the first exam. The fees for the second exam is € 50 for the UIC Barcelona university community and € 75 for the external students.

Certification

An advanced C1-level Catalan certificate recognised by the Government of Catalonia. To earn a certificate, you must attend at least 80% of the on-site sessions, successfully complete the online and class-based activities and pass the CLUC C1 exam or CLUC C1 exam for PDI.

Credit recognition

This course has a workload of 5.5 ECTS credits. If you are a UIC Barcelona undergraduate student, you can request recognition of 3 ECTS credits for taking the course. If you are an Erasmus student, you can include this course in your learning agreement. For mobility students, the number of credits recognised for this course will depend on your home university. Level test

To take this course, you must have knowledge equivalent to level B1 of the CEFR. To make sure you have the level required to register for the B2-level course, we ask that you complete the following level test:

Application for admission

To register, all you need to do is fill out the form corresponding to the semester in which you would like to take the course. After submitting the form, you will receive an e-mail with the necessary information to pay the enrolment fee.
