Cardinal Joan Josep Omella, the Archbishop of Barcelona, visits UIC Barcelona
Cardinal Joan Josep Omella, the Archbishop of Barcelona, paid our University’s Barcelona Campus a visit this morning.
This is the first time that Cardinal Omella has come to the University. During his time here, he was treated to a tour of the Campus’ facilities and given an up-close look at the work being done by the School of Architecture, the Institute for Advanced Family Studies and Corporate Development Management, among others.
He then engaged in a colloquium with university students, lecturers and staff in the Visual Arts Room in the Faculty of Education. In a relaxed, intimate atmosphere, attendees had the opportunity to share with the Cardinal some of the initiatives being organised by the university community, as well as concerns and future projects.
The visit ended with Holy Mass in the chapel in the Faculty of Education.
