On Thursday 9 February the UIC Barcelona Faculty of Dentistry celebrated Saint Apollonia day, patron saint of dentists. The celebration was held by awarding prizes for the IV edition of the Photography Competition, a Holy Mass and a few refreshments.

The competition was divided into two categories, “Dental” and “Open”. The winner of the first category was José Martin Cruces, a fifth year Dentistry student, with a photograph called Pulpolito. In the other category, Marc Llaquet Pujol was the winner, a graduate of the Master’s degree in Endodontics and currently a Dentistry lecturer, with a photograph entitled Ganas de Recreo. A total of 62 photographs were entered into the competition, both in the dental category and the open category. The prizes were handed out by the dental material company DVD, which has been sponsoring the competition for years, and also by Dr Lluis Giner, Dean of the Faculty of Dentistry.
