GRC - Evaluation of Public Policies

The Research Group for Evaluation of Public Policies, linked to the Research Institute on Evaluation and Public Policy, carries out its research mainly in the area of Health Economics with a specific focus on public policy. The objective of the group is to influence public policy decisions taken by the Catalan administration, mainly in the field health, so that these decisions are evaluated, and the importance of their assessment is taken into account. The group collects scientific evidence from different areas: lifestyle (diet or other risk-associated habits), studies the determining factors in the use of health resources, determines effects on the labour market and examines differential costs. Group members use applied microeconometrics techniques and Machine Learning to look for causal inference in their
analyses.
