Cooperation Grant (Grantholder)
A cooperation grantholder is a person who carries out research tasks within one of the University’s departments, as well as support functions for one of the services of the institution, with both endeavours having an educational value for the student.
Students interested in taking advantage of cooperation grants need to have ten hours per week available to work morning or afternoon shifts (possibly including weekends) in any of the University’s different services, departments or faculties.
The grantholder will be paid per hour. This means that they do not receive payment for any days they do not work including holidays, examination weeks and justified absences.
The timetable depends on the needs of the department, service or faculty in which the work is carried out, but the student’s academic timetable must always take priority. Cooperation grants must not have a negative impact on the student’s academic record.
The candidates chosen are those who can demonstrate, through their academic record, the ability to combine their studies with the commitments represented by the grant.
The duration of the grant will be up to ten months (from September to June), which is equivalent to the duration of the academic year. In cases where the intern supervisor deems it appropriate, the duration can be extended until July.
Cooperation grants are subject to Royal Decree 1493/2011 of 24 October, by which cooperation grants are registered with the Social Security system under the special scheme for interns..
Students who are interested must submit the following documentation to Student Services:
- The application form, which can downloaded from this web page or from the intranet.
- A photocopy of the bank book or current account (IBAN code plus the 20 digits) into which the amount of the cooperation grant should be paid if the application is accepted. The student must be the named account holder..
- Photocopy of the student’s DNI or NIE. Photocopy of national or foreign ID document.
- Social Security Affiliation Document.
