UIC Barcelona is taking part in the Debate League for Secondary and Upper-secondary Students 2021-2022, a competition organised by the Vives Network of Universities.
For the second consecutive year, the University will take part in this year’s competition that aims to improve the participating students’ communication skills and foster their acquisition of transferable skills such as confidence, teamwork, creativity, documentation, analysis, discourse development, planning and decision making. In addition, the League provides teachers with a tool for teaching innovation and creates a space for cooperation between secondary and upper-secondary students.
The Vives Network Debate League for Secondary and Upper-secondary Students will return to its usual face-to-face format during the academic year, following last year’s online, scaled-down event to comply with the COVID-19 restrictions. This year, the topic of debate will be “Should we put limits on science?”.
