Introduction

The objective of this course is to teach the student periodontal surgical treatment so that he/she can acquire sufficient knowledge and clinical experience to adequately manage periodontal patients.

The classes will be taught by different professors of the Department of Periodontics.

the teacher, who considers it appropriate, will recommend the reading of articles related to the subject, before or after the class.

Evaluation systems and criteria

There will be three exams throughout the academic year with questions to be developed by the student.

Class attendance is mandatory, only excused absences will be accepted. Tardiness due to surgical treatment prior to class is not excused. Missing more than 25% of classes will lead to direct suspension for the quarter and two weeks of clinical activity at CUO. Repeated absences will be penalized with literature review assignments to be submitted within one week. If more than 75% of the students required to attend a seminar are absent, the seminar will be cancelled.
