Professional experience

Degree in Biology from the University of Barcelona (UB) (1997) and PhD in Biology from the UB (2002). Doctoral thesis carried out in the Microbial Enzymes group of the Department of Microbiology of the Faculty of Biology (UB) and directed by Dra. Pilar Diaz Lucea. Teaching and research staff of the Department of Microbiology (UB), first as associate professor (1999-2000) and later as LRU assistant (2000-2005).

Degree in Medicine and Surgery from the University of Lleida (2000) and Specialist in Microbiology and Parasitology, Hospital de la Santa Creu i Sant Pau (2012). After completing the medical specialty, he received the post-MIR scholarship from the Very Illustrious Administration.

His research career is reflected in his scientific publications and in the numerous communications at conferences. Part of his teaching activity is reflected in his teaching texts and in the tutoring of several final master's theses.

His professional life, always linked to the wide world of microbiology, took an important turn when he completed his training via MIR. She worked as a clinical microbiologist at CatLab and later returned to the Hospital de la Santa Creu in 2015, where she is still linked today, and since the end of her residency, as a doctor on call in the Service of Microbiology.

Since 2016 she has been a clinical microbiologist at the Catalan Reference Laboratory, which is the laboratory of the Mar Health Park. Member of the PROA Team at Hospital del Mar, where he also participates in several clinical groups: the osteoarticular infection group and the specific PROA groups in the surgical critical care unit and in surgery.
