Sílvia Perpiñán

La Dra. Sílvia Perpiñán es investigadora colaboradora en el Institute for Multilingualism de UIC Barcelona desde 2018, donde trabaja, desde un punto de vista lingüístico, la adquisición de segundas y terceras lenguas, el mantenimiento de las lenguas de herencia, el bilingüismo catalán-castellano, y otros contextos multilingües. Obtuvo un máster (2004) y un doctorado (2010) en lingüística y adquisición de segundas lenguas en la Universidad de Illinois, Urbana-Champaign, y ha trabajado desde 2010 en la Universidad de Western Ontario, donde consiguió plaza como profesora titular en 2016. Es parte del grupo consolidado de investigación ALLENCAM (Adquisición de Lenguas desde la Catalunya Multilingüe) de la Universidad Pompeu Fabra. Sus intereses académicos son el desarrollo y la naturaleza de las lenguas no nativas, la teoría sintáctica y morfológica aplicada a la adquisición de lenguas y el bilingüismo/multilingüismo, el cambio lingüístico por contacto de lenguas y el desarrollo de segundas lenguas, y el mantenimiento de las lenguas de herencia.
