Introduction
The hospital practices of the IMOS aim to give the student a broader view of oral surgery, working with hospital surgical teams in clinical cases of patients of moderate or high surgical complexity. These practices are carried out during the first two years of the IMOS in the hospitals in collaboration with the UIC. This activity is always supervised by a specialist and is a complement to the theoretical training of the students. These are compulsory practices and carried out by groups of two or one student throughout the academic year.

There will be treated cases mainly on dental-vein surgery and other types of surgeries (oncological head and neck disease, dento-skeletal malformations, ATM, etc.) In the "Instituto de Cirugía Maxilofacial" of the Teknon Clinic (Barcelona), they may attend complex surgery of orthognathic pathology, pre-synthetic surgery, ATM and oncological head and neck cases. Occasionally, the students of the IMOS may participate attending the surgical team during the surgery. All IMOS students must complete the book of interventions (logbook) with all the interventions carried out as main surgeons or assistants during the entire training program.
