Students attended in person to practice implant prosthetics, where tasks are carried out and put into practice what they have learned in theory sessions.
Students are asked to know the prosthetics materials and the newest prosthetics techniques, well-knowing their characteristics and behavior
Expose the students to different prosthetics materials
Introduce the student the classical and modern techniques in oral implant rehabilitation and knowing the manufacturing lab process
Awareness and dominance of all prosthetics lab techniques for implant planning: wax-up, mock-up, radiological and surgical guides, 3D software planning
To know the crown temporization process in dental implantology
Manage prosthetic complications from the lab point of view
Skills in all prosthetics lab techniques for implant planning before performing the dental implant surgery in the tooth missing patients
To know how to manage in the crown temporization process in dental implantology
To performance the radiological and surgical dental implant guides
Implant positioning
1. Locking screws. Healing abutments. Transepithelial abutments.
To cement pillars. Transfers and replicas.
External and internal connection.
Objectives: Recognize the attachments of different implant systems, form, function and become familiar with its operation.
2. Taking impressions in implantology. Open and closed tray. Direct printing printing implant and abutment pillar. Splints for verification.
Objectives: To know all the ways to make impressions in implantology and enabled for use.
3. Planning a case. I waxed. Guide radiological and surgical guide.
Objectives: Plan several different cases by waxing and from it, perform the surgical guide and radiation.
4. Computer-assisted implant planning. Guide guided surgery.
Objectives: To navigation systems, namely planning cases with them.
5. Planning cases. Mapping and model surgery.
Objectives: Play in a model soft gum and proper 3d implant position. Manufacture of guides from the model with the implant.
6. Implants unit. Step by step. Cemented and screwed. Pillars for single implants. Materials. Provisional about single implant.
Objectives: To determine the step of single implant. Interim making techniques on unit.
7. Step by step of performing a full arch prosthesis. Runners fixed to implants.
Tests teeth fixed to implants. Selecting transepithelial abutments. Test bolted teeth. Materials. Provisional on multiple implants.
Objectives: To determine the stepwise multiple prosthesis. Making technique and testing impellers fixed teeth. Selecting transepithelial abutments according to different commercial houses. Provisional application on multiple prosthetics and immediate loading.
8. Protocol Cadcam. Impressions of scanbodis. Scan models. Design pillars for cad cam for unitary. Cad cam multiple structures. Composite tests.
Objectives: To become familiar with cad-cam prosthetics. Know the different systems for obtaining three-dimensional virtual models. Introduction to the design of hardware for cad-cam.
9. Relationship laboratory. Visits to different laboratories.
10. Photography in the laboratory.
Objective: Shooting of implants in laboratory phases. Submit a photo book of the practices in the laboratory. All IMOS students must keep in touch with the dental degree students and the dental degree instructors to provide the best treatment approach to the University Dental Clinic patients
The postgraduate students will be doing the different planning protocols and making the different appliances
They will have the opportunity to probe different prosthetics materials and knowing their characteristics and behaviour
The clinical instructor will sign the LogBook after completion by the student
All students will be under continued evaluation based on: punctuality, behavior and number of appliances done
They record in a LogBook of all prosthetic appliances performed and it has to be signed by the IMOS supervisor. This LogBook will be used both for final evaluation.
