The course intention is to allow the students to learn the theory in both, the microbiology that can be used in the root canal and the irrigants we will be using to eliminat them, basing the knowledge on the most significant articles publishes within the latest years .

To understand the diferent techniques of microbiology used in the lab to identify bacteria
to learn the evolution of an infection from the time the first bacteria invade the pulp canal
to learn the most important bacterias that are found in the roort canal

To be able to understand the Mmicrobiological process that takes place in the root canal once it is infected and to make the best decision when choosing the irrigants most suitable for each case

Two hour clases will be held were the students will have to discuss the articles previously sent
The evaluation of the assignature will be done in everyclass were the thing in consideration will be if the articles were previously read and the participation during the class. At the end of the assignature a final exam will be done.
The subject will be based on the lecture of articles previously selected by the teacher
