Introduction

The final dissertation work, involves the integration of content and skills training, received through the theoretical and practical training.

Prerequisites

To perform the final evaluation of the work of masters, must have passed the practical and theoretical modules.

You can start earlier, but agrees that the student has received the maximum theoretical training module and methodology and has conducted or at least started practice rotations.

Objectives

 

The final paper Masters is an essential tool to see the results of cross-learning of the title, regardless of the specifics, according to the idiosyncrasy of the work.

 

 

Competences / Learning outcomes of the degree programme

  • CB7 - Let students know who to apply their knowledge and ability to solve problems in new or unfamiliar, broader or multidisciplinary contexts related to their field of study
  • CB8 - Students are able to integrate knowledge and handle complexity and formulate judgments based on information that was incomplete or limited, include reflecting on social and ethical responsibilities linked to the application of their knowledge and judgments

Learning outcomes of the subject

 

The expected learning outcome is that students, guided by a tutor, able to realize a project, content and methodologies received practical and theoretical modules.

 

Syllabus

The final paper Masters is a public defense of a specific management project applied to any of the contents of learning, one or four areas of knowledge.

The work can be unprecedented and exceptionally, be accepted as work, the presentation of a project already developed and in operation, provided that prioritizes the presentation of quantified results.

It is necessary to assess the implementation and integration of learning modules received in the theoretical and practical, and effective use of resources at its disposal to provide efficient solutions to problems arising from their development.

For its preparation, the student must show independence, initiative, capacity building, capacity for synthesis, ability to relate and innovation and development of knowledge, skills and strategies previously acquired.

The work item proposal shall be submitted to the Educational Commission for acceptance and must include a maximum of two pages, the following sections:

-Student ID

-Proposed title of the work

-Rationale and Purpose of labor

-Description of the methodology used

 

For this assessment, the Commission will take into account the preferences and concerns of students, their future professional interests, the potential for improving curriculum or career, to assess their tutor during practical, theoretical evaluation results, ....

 

Once chosen the theme will be assigned a mentor (chosen among the professors of the master).

The presentation to the court of final paper Masters shall be subject to successful completion of the other two modules (theoretical and practical).

The script for the minimum content of the project will:

-Project Title

-Introduction and project presentation - Background and Rationale

-Clearly identified objectives

-Methodology and project design, including: Feasibility Assessment. Study and environmental assessment, definition of objectives and strategic lines

-Application and implementation of the project, including: Development of lines and objectives, organization of the system work, Application and / or implementation of planning, strengths and limitations in planning.

-Assessment system plan - LED indicators

-Discussion and conclusions

-Bibliography

 

As a guide of the work: It should be a maximum of 50 pages (A4, Times New Roman 12, 1.5 spacing, margins default Word program, and bound) and must report to the secretary of the Masters as is scheduled in the calendar, in both paper and electronic format, with the knowledge and acceptance of his tutor.

 

 

Teaching and learning activities

In person

 

TTF: LABOUR Tutoring Final Master

A mentor will be assigned to the student (to be directly related to the theme), who will guide, but increasing independence, initiative and development of skills and knowledge, ensuring that the students themselves find solutions to the problems.

 

AAP: self-learning activities

These activities are designed for students to solve problems by itself, with the help of the tutor, the material that has been delivered in the theoretical module. Do'nt forget to consult literature or documentation about the project.

 

FB: Feed-back:

The mentor should not only make the supervison, but must give the student feedback whenever deemed appropriate, to guide, redirect or push the student to take initiative and provide input, vision or knowledge.

 

 

Evaluation systems and criteria

In person

The Master concludes with the preparation and public defense of masters to work in front of a tribunal appointed by the academic committee of three teachers or tutors of the master.

The oral defense of the work will take place in one of the two days, morning or afternoon in September, as it is indicated in the global calendar, delivered, in any case, after having completed the traineeship. Therefore, depending on the organization of practices, be accepted defenses work after completing the course always under consideration by the faculty committee.

The defense of each paper will consist of the summary presentation by the student, content, development and results des or project, which will have 15 minutes, to be followed, if deemed necessary by the court, 5 minutes expansion or clarification questions.

The evaluation will assess:

-The presentation of work, a method as shown.

-The wording and clarity of argument and justification of the project

-The content and overall consistency. Especially the application of knowledge and concepts acquired

-Consistency in the discussion of results

-The student's innovative contributions.

-The applicability of the draft

-The presentation and defense before the court

-The tutor assessment in terms of adapting work to Efficient planning and global.

The rating system is:

A: Excellent. (9.0 - 10)

B: Very good. (7.0 - 8.9)

C: Approved (5.0 to 6.9)

D: Not rated (0 - 4.9)

 

In the case of obtaining a grade of "D", the student may modify, extend or replicate the project carried out following the recommendations of the teachers. You could even select a new project in the case of complete inadequacy.
