Anthropology is knowledge about human being. Education implies the development of one’s own personality and potential. The centrality of human being as a shared aspect of both Anthropology and Education is the fundamental issue that this subject develops. Retrieving and updating classic thought, we believe that both Anthropology and Education begin with the knowledge and the transformation of oneself. This necessarily means an approchement and becoming closer to other people, and a better ability to meet their needs. Refining our thinking, our attitudes and our emotions, we get closer to nature and to the social environment surrounding us. In this way we become more competent both in a professional and a human sense.

The subject structure is divided into theoretical and practical sessions. This means that students must show they have achieved a minimum level of competence in the learning outcomes of the 2 blocks. The contents of the theoretical part will be evaluated in written form, through a partial test (20%) and a final exam (40%). The practical part will require a presentation of two written works proposed by the teacher (10%+10%) and a specific test to evaluate the skills acquired in practical sessions (20%). Equally, to have success in this subject it will be necessary to pass both parts (the theoretical and the practical one). If you do not pass both parts of the subject in the first two calls (1st or 2nd), you will have to recover all the parts the following year (in 3rd or 4th). In no case are notes saved from one course to another, even if one of the two parts is passed. The final mark will be the average of these two parts. Attendance and participation in class are fundamental for gaining a pass in the subject and will be considered an important element in determining the final mark.
