 Assessment procedure and criteria

The structure of the subject in theoretical and practical activities entails the evaluation of achieved knowledge and competences in both a differentiate and complementary way.

Specifically, there will be a mid-term exam  and a final exam.

Mid-term exam (19/03) (those who pass this exam will be exempt from this part of the subject):

- Theoretical part: 2 questions on the syllabus taught until the class previous to the exam (50% of the grade),

- Practical part: One text (30% of the grade) +  the arithmetic mean of the texts of the practical part (20% of the grade)= 50% of the grade

Those who pass both the theoretical and the practical part will be relieved of this part of the subject in the final exam.

The exam will be virtual and in the following way:

Written development test: open answer questions to be submitted directly in pdf format.

Final exam (7/06):

It will be assessed with the same criteria as the mid-term exam. For the mark of the practical part: the text of the exam  (30%) + the arithmetic mean of the texts of the practical part assessed from the mid-term exam until the end of the year (20%)

The texts will be collected randomly and graded.

The exam will be virtual and in the following way:

Written development test: open answer questions to be submitted directly in pdf format.

Again, it is indispensable to pass each of the two parts of the final mark.

The second sitting will be graded in the same conditions as the first, including the continuing evaluation.

Continuing Education Talks:

"Failing to attend to the Continuing Education Talks will be evaluated negatively on the subject. That is, depending on the number of talks that have not been attended by the student, up to one point will be deducted from the total final grade of the subject. For example, if the student fails to attend one talk, 0,4 points will be deducted; if the student fails to attend two conferences, the deduction will be of 0,7 points, whereas failing to attend all three conferences will be penalised with 1 point."
