Qualsevol individu que exerceixi una tasca professional al món de l’economia o de l’empresa necessita conèixer l’entorn econòmic on es desenvolupa la seva tasca. Si bé en la presa de decisions no hi ha receptes infal·libles, és de capital importància tenir la millor informació disponible sobre la situació econòmica.

No hi ha cap requisit.

L'objectiu d'aquesta assignatura és familiaritzar els alumnes en com operen els mercats i les economies dels països. El curs aborda el tractament dels principals fets i qüestions que preocupen als responsables de la política econòmica, adoptant el punt de vista
dels economistes i fent un particular èmfasi en l'economia pública.

La economia, com totes les disciplines de teoria econòmica, s’aprèn gradualment; el seu estudi es basa en la comprensió i capacitat d’anàlisi, més que no pas en la memòria. L’experiència ensenya que l’alumnat que treballa amb constància obté els millors resultats i, per això, el mètode d’avaluació adoptat en aquest curs té en compte l’assistència a classe i fomenta l’estudi continuat.

La qualificació global es compon dels següents elements:

● Glossari: 10% de la nota final.
● Parcial 1 (Macroeconomics): 10% de la nota final (tindrà lloc en octubre).
● Parcial 2 (Microeconomía): 10% de la nota final (tindrà lloc en novembre).
● Examen Final: 70% de la nota final. 

Attending the lectures is required to take the partial examinations. (Only one unjustified missing lecture will be admitted). The type of exam questions will be explained in class. For the evaluation of the second call (retake) the on-going evaluation will be ignored. Failing to attending the “Conferencias de Formación Continua” will be negatively evaluated. Depending on the number of conferences that the student missed, the final grade may be reduced up to one point. This regulation does not apply to Erasmus or exchange students, nor to double degrees students.

The grades from the partial exams are final and will be part of the grand total by the end of the semester. The final exam includes everything we have studied during the course. (The subjects covered in the partial exams will not be skipped in the final, regardless of your previous grades).
