Restorative odontology includes all those treatments that have as their goal the oral rehabilitation of the patient both on a functional and an aesthetic level. Therefore, in the Treatment Planning subject, clinical cases are presented in which several areas of odontology have intervened, especially endodontics and dental aesthetics. The goal is to provide the student with a comprehensive picture of all the steps that must be performed to reach a correct diagnosis, and subsequent suitable treatment.

To understand all the steps to reach an accurate diagnosis and to establish the most suitable treatment in each case.
To acquire training in speaking skills via the students’ presentations of clinical cases. To understand the concepts of pulp-periapical diagnosis.
To know the characteristics of an aesthetic smile.
To know how to plan a restorative treatment and determine the degree of difficulty. To acquire skill in the oral presentation of a case.
All theoretical content that students have acquired in the seminars so far.
Meet endodontics relation to restorative dentistry
Understand the role of the interdisciplinary team endodontist
Learn the basic principles of aesthetics with implants
Learn the basic principles of treatment planning in dental rehabilitation
The student will present to teachers and students a cas in the area of restorative dentistry. Will be asked questions about the case and the student must defend and justify literature based decision making.
Exposure of the case and the defense and justification will be assessed to the questions of teachers
The references used in each case presentation will be based on the revised seminars of theoretical literature. The student will also deepen with new articles related to the topic.
