The subject of New Roles in Primary Care Nurses, is a newly created course to students in 4th grade. Located at the mention of Community, may be extended by the students of any grade 4 mentions. With new content, the student will contact an emergent perspective on the work of nurses in various areas in which it is positioning itself as leader of the care of people. The leadership of nurses in emerging roles, opens new possibilities for professional development and visibility of nursing work, while opening up new fields to the labor market.

Objectives

  1. Introduce to students the roles emerging Degree Nursing
  2. Deepen the importance of leadership in nursing in the management of health care to the population
  3. Familiarize students with new areas of professional development

Competences / Learning outcomes of the degree programme

  • 11. E - Establish effective communication with patients, families, social groups and partners and promote health education.
  • 12. B - Know and observe the ethical code of conduct of Spanish nursing, understanding the ethical implications of health in a changing global context.

  • 14. G - Establish mechanisms for evaluation, taking into account scientific, technical and quality standards.
  • 15. B - Work with the team of professionals as a basic unit in which uni or multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary professionals and other staff of health care are organized.

  • 7. B - Understand people without prejudice, considering their physical, psychological and social aspects, as autonomous and independent individuals, ensuring respect for their opinions, beliefs and values, ensuring their right to privacy through confidentiality and professional secrecy.

Evaluation systems and criteria

In person

  • Written work (40%). The student will be providing evidence of acquired knowledge and reflection made on the contents of the subject. Have a script to perform this evaluation document. Assess competencies Nos 2, 5, 6, 7, 9, 14, 17, 19, 22, 23, 24, 28.
     

    Multiple choice exam (60%). The speakers in each of the topics will shared to assess the student's knowledge about the contents exposed exam. It will assess competencies No. 2, 7, 9, 12, 13 and 17
