Students will learn to make a critical analysis of articles published in major journals in the field of endodontics

- To be aware of the articles recently published in the field of endodontics in the two journals with most impact.
- To understand the articles published.
- To learn to redact a review of an article.
- To be able to discuss a topic, providing quotations from the current literature on the subject.
- To be able to list the controlled and uncontrolled variables of the study
- To know if the statistical method is suitable for that which the author wishes to evaluate
- To be able to enumerate the weaknesses in the methodology
- To be able to provide possible improvements in the methodology used
- To discuss in a coherent way the different methodological options for assessing the item in question
- To assess whether the objectives are consistent with the scale of the work carried out and if they are satisfied
- To critique the introduction and the arguments put forward by the authors of the article - To contribute future studies to continue the research of the authors
- To assess the clinical contribution that the article makes
The final mark is derived from the average marks of the coursework [50%] and the exam [50%].
