Student Maria Torrabadella, new UNICAT ambassador at UIC Barcelona
The University’s Alumni & Careers Department has chosen Maria Torrabadella to be the UNICAT ambassador for the 2023-2024 academic year. The UNICAT network is promoted by the Inter-University Council of Catalonia and the Government Delegation to the European Union, which is made up of twelve Catalan universities
The role of the new UNICAT ambassador is to disseminate information of interest to students, such as job opportunities and selection procedures available within the scope of European Union institutions. To this end, the student will work on strategies and actions for disseminating these opportunities, which will be carried out in agreement with the Alumni & Careers Department.
This is the fourth time that UIC Barcelona has participated in the UNICAT Ambassador project involving the twelve Catalan universities.
Maria Torrabadella, recognised with fourteen distinctions, is a fourth-year student in the Bachelor’s Degree in Humanities and Cultural Studies. She did a stay at the University of Lancaster, for which she obtained the Erasmus+ grant offered by Banco Santander. Currently, she is doing her work training in a research and project development fellowship at the ANUE (United Nations Association) based in Barcelona. “For me, this is a great opportunity to represent the students and the values of this University in this superregional community,” Maria pointed out.
