The student will have to learn how to deal with bad news and how to apply rationality in diagnostic and therapeutic reasoning, depending on the patient's general condition, comorbidities and prognosis.

Teaching and learning activities

In blended

There will be 10 days of clinical practice at the Oncology Service, from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m., with the purpose of learning the natural history of the different tumors, as well as staging, treatment and being able to participate in the multidisciplinary tumor committees through the presentation of real clinical cases that the student must have prepared.

Students will be mentored by a medical specialist in Medical Oncology and will attend the different care units: hospitalization, outpatient clinics, day hospital and assistance to the different tumor committees, and they will conduct together with the assistant physician the consultations performed at the Medical Service. 'Oncology for other hospital services.

Seminars

- Attending monographic sessions of the Service during your internship

- Attending sessions of the Inpatient Service and first visits
