Introduction

  Oral implantology in the Dental office is performed routinely. The scientific evidence is making strides and it is difficult for the young professional or experienced clinician to keep up with all the new concepts and publications. This seminar will present clinical cases with a practical and scientific approach. The student must present cases using all the resources available today, such as Cochrane or PubMed databases. The presentation and defense of cases will be an essential part of their training during the academic year.

Pre-course requirements

Preparation of clinical cases in the University Dental Clinic (CUO) by means of clinical photography, plaster models mounted on semi-adjustable articulator and complementary examinations. Will be presented with a standard template in PowerPoint or Keynote. The student must have seen and visited the patient.

Objectives

The main objective of this seminar is the presentation of clinical cases using a standardized template for PowerPoint or Keynote and to discuss such cases with a scientific and practical approach. Other objectives of this seminar are to develop the ability to speak and debate in public.

In person



There will be a continuous assessment of the student's progress. The skills are evaluated at the end of each quarter and at the end of the course, during the final examination. Attending to this seminar is considered mandatory to obtain the final diploma.
