Introduction
The Master's Degree in On-line Dental Aesthetics offers students the possibility of entering the techniques and methodologies of the dental laboratory. The subject on the introduction to the dental laboratory wants to deepen, in the basic knowledge of the dental laboratory. Perform processes in a simple and reproducible way by the student.
During the course of the subject, the students will reproduce techniques of the dental laboratory that is carried out on a daily basis by the clinic, receiving the instructions and knowledge to be able to reproduce them. Therefore, they will obtain the benefit of knowing how to make the restorations and at the same time know how to analyze the work of the dental laboratory with which they collaborate at work.
The students will follow the work protocols established at the university for the different dental laboratory procedures. At the same time, they acquire manual techniques of each of the steps to be carried out and guidelines to be able to develop these protocols satisfactorily.

Objectives
The On-line Dental Aesthetics Master's program includes the learning of some of the laboratory techniques necessary to be able to carry out the rehabilitation treatment in patients who require an aesthetically guided prosthetic rehabilitation. In addition, the proper use of dental laboratory material, to be able to perform the steps prior to definitive treatment.
The materials and machines necessary to develop the different techniques of the dental laboratory will be announced in the program. Work protocols will be established in an orderly manner that will provide us with a satisfactory daily system.
The main objective of these laboratory practices is to provide the student with the necessary skills and minimum knowledge to be able to perform previous laboratory steps, of their own restorative treatments. Provide the student with technical and manual skills to develop them successfully and obtain optimal results.
Competences/Learning outcomes of the degree programme
- CB10 - Students should acquire the learning skills that allow them to continue to study.
- CB6 - Students should have and understand knowledge that provides the basis for or opportunity to be original in terms of the development and application of ideas, often within a research context.
- CB7 - Students should know how to apply the knowledge they have acquired and be able to resolve problems in new or little known environments within a broader (or multidiciplinary) context, related to their area of study.
- CE4 - To acquire the ability to make oral preparations on mucosa, teeth, and dental implants, to build dental prostheses in patients with advanced oral and multidisciplinary disorders; as well as identify and undertake the procedures and various checks for the prosthetic components during construction.
- CE5 - To be able to give public presentations on your own clinical cases based on the scientific literature, and correctly use the scientific terminology related to temporomandibular dysfunction and aesthetic restorative dentistry.
- CE7 - To be able to search for, organise and analyse, from a critical point of view, and using biomedical sources of information, scientific literature on issues related to temporomandibular dysfunction and aesthetic restorative dentistry, in order to pursue continuing education in a self-directed and autonomous way.
- CG4 - To know how to apply protocols for the use of the equipment in the dental laboratory-workshop to the point of undertaking the necessary procedures that help in oral rehabilitation or the treatments common to a restorative dentist.
Learning outcomes of the subject
The student is able to make aesthetic dental waxing and silicone guides for aesthetic keys.
The student is able to make simple and double-charge resin provisionals.
The student is able to make indirect restorations in a semi-directed technic. Preparation and characterization of the process.
The student learns to make provisional for the B.O.P.T. technique.
