The tutor will be appointed or assigned by the management committee of the center where the internships take place.

Teaching and learning activities

Methodology

The teaching methodologies planned for external academic practices are:

Attendance at practices (AP): The student observes and recognizes the knowledge and skills acquired in the theoretical module. They see in practice the application of everything learned and verify, among other relevant aspects, the approach to problems, group discussion and work, resolution proposals, discussion of proposals, prioritization, decision-making, results of actions, etc.

Self-learning activities (AAP): These activities are designed for the student to solve problems on their own, with the help of the provided materials and the information they have gathered in face-to-face classes and/or during the internship period, as well as the supplementary documentation provided, bibliographic references, etc.

Practice tutoring (TTP): For each rotation, the student will have an assigned tutor (who may be the same or different for each rotation) who will follow up and supervise the student through personalized support and relationship during the practices. Initially, this action is very directed, and as the practice progresses, the student is expected to become more autonomous, demonstrating integration and initiative, with the tutor serving only as a reference.

Feedback: The Teaching Committee of the master's program provides feedback to the student whenever deemed appropriate, to guide, redirect, or encourage the student to take initiative and contribute their opinion, vision, or knowledge.

Learning activities

The learning activities planned for external academic practices are:

Attendance at healthcare centers for the completion of practices (ACS): The student observes and recognizes the knowledge and skills acquired in the theoretical module.

Evaluation systems and criteria

In person

The assessment systems planned for external academic internships are:

• Internship Tutor Report (ITR): The assigned tutor evaluates the student’s performance through a report, providing feedback for each rotation area. The weighting percentage will be 50-60% of the overall grade.

• Competencies and Practical Skills Checklist (CPSC): Review of the list of skills and competencies specified for each rotation. At least 80% of the identified items must be recorded. The weighting percentage will be 30-40% of the overall grade.

• Student Self-Assessment Report (SAR): The student must prepare a self-assessment report reflecting:

The knowledge and competencies they have been able to develop during the internship, relating them to the different subjects they have worked on in the theoretical and methodological training module. The new knowledge they have acquired during the internship. Other considerations regarding the utilization and adequacy of these experiences.

The weighting percentage will be 10% of the overall grade.
