Introduction
The course aims to provide students with the knowledge, skills, and practical competencies required to conceive, produce, and direct thematic radio programmes. Within the Degree in Audiovisual Communication, it is designed as a technical and creative workshop that introduces students to a range of radio programme formats (music, news, sports, cultural or religious programming).
Pre-course requirements
To have successfully completed the course Introduction to Radio and Podcasting.
Objectives
- To understand the radio market, including both general-interest and specialised radio broadcasting.
- To learn the fundamental concepts and techniques of radio programming.
- To understand the factors that determine the conception and development of radio programmes.
- To understand the structural aspects of radio production and directing.
- To understand the distinctive characteristics of radio programmes as audio products.
- To understand the role and reach of radio programmes beyond traditional broadcast transmission.
